Invitation to nominate Selection Committee members for the Youth Solidarity Fund (2013)

Dear Youth Partners,

As you may know, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations launched the 2013 edition of the Youth Solidarity Fund. The call for applications can be found here: http://unaocyouth.org/ysf/application-form/. This program provides seed funding to outstanding youth projects addressing areas of primary concern to the UNAOC, i.e. fostering mutual respect, understanding and long-term positive relationships between peoples of different cultures and religions.

The UNAOC invites partner organizations to propose 2 qualified candidates for the Selection Committee of the 2013 Youth Solidarity Fund. While the UNAOC is managing this program, partners are invited to nominate candidates for the Selection Committee that will ensure both youth participation and a quality assessment in the selection of projects for funding.

The Selection Committee will be responsible for reviewing applications to the Youth Solidarity Fund and make recommendations to the UNAOC regarding which projects to fund. Attached are details regarding the role and responsibilities of members of the Selection Committee, as well as the process which all interested candidates should follow.

Please note that the deadline for the Selection Committee nominations is February 13, 2013. The required documents (Candidate Profile form and Nomination Letter, files enclosed) should be sent by email to ysf2013@unaoc.org.
